textHELP! Type & Talk Version 4.0

Article describing textHELP! Type and Talk, which is an educational word processor specifically designed to assist and motivate students with learning disabilities in the reading and writing process. Lesson plans are incorporated into the software to enable instructors to facilitate integration into the class curriculum. Version 4.0 comes with improved features of the original version, including advanced and standard toolbars, high-quality speech, phonetic spell checking, homonym support, word prediction, a word wizard to help find words, a spelling log, thesaurus, and a multi-profiling option. The features in Type and Talk provide support for creative writing while they promote independence and increase reading and writing accuracy.
