WatchMinder: The Non-Audible Training and Reminder System

Paper describing the WatchMinder, which is a special purpose wristwatch with a calendar and silent alarm system designed for children and adults with cognitive and/or learning disabilities. The WatchMinder features two modes: (1) Pay Attention/Training Mode, which uses a shorter vibration to help the user either pay attention or modify a specific behavior, and (2) Reminder Mode, which uses a longer vibration to remind the user to complete a specific task or job. Both modes can be operated at the same time, and the watch can be programmed with over 70 messages and 16 daily reminder alarms.
