Around The (Acoustic) Horn - Comfort Audio Opens Doors in US

By Hearing Review - The Insider,
Publication Date: January 2008

Article describes two assistive listening products by Comfort Audio, a Swedish company whose US subsidiary is located in California. Comfort Contego™ is a High Definition digital wireless FM system with built-in adjustable microphones for omni-directional or directional sound based on conditions. The volume setting for the transmitter can be remotely adjusted from the receiver. The device sends its signals encrypted to prevent electronic eavesdropping. Comfort Duett™ is a small personal amplifier resembling an MP3 player. It is capable of up to 60 dB amplification and can be integrated into home audio equipment such as TV, music and a standard telephone. Comfort Audio aims at a market of young (and young-at-heart) customers with their stylishly designed products that are meant to be shown off rather than hidden.
