Hearing Assistive Technology Training

By Sutton, Christopher T.; Hearing Loss Magazine, Vol. 29, No. 1, p. 26
Publication Date: January/February 2008

Article provides a brief summary of the 2007 Hearing Assistive Technology Training that took place in October at the University of Connecticut-Storrs. The 2-day workshop focused on the use of assistive technology (AT) and teaching trainees to be educators of AT for local Hearing Loss Association (HLAA) chapters and state organizations. In addition to training local HLAA organizations, trainees will offer education about hearing loss and AT to vocational rehabilitation departments and local and regional libraries.
