Sonic Innovations Adds Automatic Features to its Smallest Hearing Aid

By Hearing Review - The Insider,
Publication Date: March 30, 2008

Description of improvements and additions made to Sonic Innovations’ ion 400 hearing aid. The ion 400, a virtually invisible, moisture resistant micro behind-the-ear product (micro-BTE) with 24-channel digital processing, is made for persons with mild to moderate hearing loss. It is equipped with voice-alerts, a feature that replaces beep sequences with verbal alerts when the hearing aid is changing programs and when the battery is low. Users can select male or female voice-alerts in one of 8 different languages. The instrument also features an adaptive feedback cancellation system, eliminating high-pitch squeal.
