Article features grab bars which combine style with function and safety. (1) Wave grab bars by Great Grabz, made of aluminum and available in a variety of finishes, can hold over 250 pounds of force and have adjustable mounts; their wave design is decorative as well as ergonomic, and the incorporation of Saniguard, a permanent inorganic antimicrobial treatment, in the manufacturing process helps inhibit bacteria growth; (2) Great Grabz Splash rough-textured grab bars are manufactured with a sure grip to help reduce slipping; and (3) Kohler’s Belay handrail for use in showers includes a concealed installation which integrates the handrail into the existing tile surround and can be installed at any height to provide support. Also mentioned are decorative grab bars by Kohler, Moen, Jaclo, and Ginger which coordinate with the manufacturers’ lines of faucets and other bathroom accessories.
