CapturaTalk

By Millar, Ally; geeks.co.uk,
Publication Date: March 30, 2010

Online article features text-to-speech software for mobile phones. Created to aid people with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, CapturaTalk runs from a number of mobile phones and has its own photography software. The CapturaTalk voice reads out text taken by the phone’s camera. The software includes a dictionary link to help the user proofread texts, emails, and documents. At the time the article was written, an advanced version of CapturaTalk was being tested for marketing later in the spring, when its inventors hope to have it bundled with mobile phone networks.
