Safe Awake Smoke Alarm Meets UL Requirements

By Hearing Review - The Insider,
Publication Date: April 29, 2010

News article features the SafeAwake smoke alarm for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. SafeAwake works with a standard smoke detector. When it senses an alarm from the smoke detector, the device instantly activates an intermittent, motor driven bed shaker to wake individuals who are sleeping, emits a high decibel, low frequency signal, and flashes a light. Having met the testing requirements of Underwriters Laboratory (UL), the product can be installed in facilities such as assisted care homes, hotels, and college dormitories.
