Article describes the attachment of a stand to a wheelchair that allows a man with traumatic brain injury to paint and draw while sitting in his wheelchair. The stand includes a drawing board that is attached to a frame mounted to the wheelchair. The stand is portable and lightweight and includes magnetic templates that accommodate various paper sizes and also keep the paper from moving or tearing. The total cost of the stand was about $350. It was designed by medical engineering students at the University of Toledo.
