By Ridden, Paul; Gizmag,
Publication Date: March 2, 2011

Article features a prototype notebook computer that can be controlled with the blink of an eye. The Lenovo laptop has integrated eye control by Tobii Technology that allows users to open an icon or object by glancing at it, zoom in and out of images, and switch between open windows or browse through emails and documents without touching an input device. A power saving feature, auto dim, activates when the system detects that a user is not looking and brightens the screen when it registers a user’s eyes. Tobii is a manufacturer of eye tracking and control technology allowing users who do not have full use of their limbs to better interact with computers. The eye controlled notebook computer was exhibited at CeBIT 2011, the world’s largest computer expo, in Hanover, Germany.
