New Lift on Wheels Available for Small or Midsized Car Owners

By Rehab Management: Rehab Today,
Publication Date: January 2, 2012

Article features a wheeled lift that allows a small or midsized car to transport a scooter or power wheelchair. The Chariot is described as a lift on wheels with independent suspension that places minimal additional weight on the rear of the car. Users can position the product behind a car equipped with a Class I or Class II receiver hitch. According to its maker, Bruno Independent Living Aids, the Chariot’s two wheels swivel, allowing for a ride directly behind the car while also preventing the possibility of “jackknifing.” Other advantages of the product mentioned are its compact size and its ability to fit into a single parking space. Additional Chariot features listed are self-tensioning retractable security belts, one hand and one button operation, a platform that can be driven onto from either side, and an emergency manual back-up system.
