New System Targets Relief for RA Patients

Article features a system for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The BioniCare Hand System uses a pulsed electrical signal designed to reduce pain and symptoms linked to RA of the hand. The product includes the BIO-2000, an interactive generator that provides users with a Bluetooth tracking option for uploading the user’s signal information to the BioniCare Patient Care Portal, where users can print records to track treatment progress. The portal also offers access to arthritis-related information. In addition, the system includes a form fitting, stretchable conductive glove with adhesive fingertip conductor, a low-profile generator dock that wirelessly connects the BIO-2000 to the glove, a battery charger, and rechargeable batteries.
