--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 6/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The vitalcall wireless personal call system has portable components for both the receiver and the sender. Transmitters send digitally coded signals to the care giver in case of a need for assistance. The prtable pendant transmitter is designed to be worn around the neck. The alert signal can be received by the care giver on a portable digital pager which beeps when activated and shows an alphanumeric readout to show room number of person calling. The alert signal is also received and isaplayed on an LED readout on a central receiver/monitor which is visable and audible to staff within a limited range of a central station or office. The receiver/monitor also makes a written record of calls on an optional printer.
