Features; Home/Monitor/Away mode selections; alert reset button; toll free alert dialing; low battery alarm. The small transmitter, worn by the patient emits a signal to the home unit. A handheld transmitter signal is available to assist the caregiver in locating the patient. In "Home" mode the unit waits for loss of signal from patient' s transmitter (this happens if patient goes beyond certain range or tries to remove transmitter). The "Away" mode places the home unit in standby thereby eliminating an alert when the caregiver and patient have left the area.
