(Verified 06/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Wolf Edit is a communication device accessory program designed to simplify and improve the speed and ability to establish messages in the Wolf (see separate entry) communciation device for caregivers and therapists of individuals with speech disabilities. Wolf Edit is a Windows 3.1 program to use in programming the Wolf VOCA, an augmentative communications device from ADAMLAB. Users can develop message vocabularies for the Wolf using simple English text. The program converts the text to the Phonemes used by the Wolf to speak. It stores the message vocabularies in a message set database which can be stored on disk for future use or further development and can be transmitted to the Wolf. Existing meddages within the Wolf can also be received by the computer to gy stored in the message set database and used to create messages even when not connected to the Wolf so that a message vocabulary can be developed off-line and even on-site from the user's Wolf. Wolf Edit comes with a context sensitive help system available to assist at any time during an edit session. All Wolf messages and command structures are supported including the use of executable Wolf code and WolfCaps. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 3.1; a 386 with 16 MHz CPU and 4Mb of RAM; 3.5 inch disk drive; a hard disk with at least 2Mb free space; VGA viseo display; standard keyboard and pointing device.
