Parts of Speech is an academic, language and vocabulary tutorial program designed for children from third grade through ninth grade who have cognitive or learning disabilities. The program helps students increase grammar and vocabulary skills as they strengthen reading and writing ability. Parts Of Speech features 32 leveled lessons with more than 1,000 graded words, all of which are fully selectable by the teacher or parent at any time. Users can identify nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, prepositions and interjections from word lists and from within sentences and paragraphs utilizing these included timed and untimed activities: Word Search, Word Machine, Paragraph Search, and Sentence Machine. The program can be customized by adding an unlimited number of new words, parts and exercises and offers many teacher options. The material is presented in both list (find the verb) and sentence form. The tracking feature allows the teacher access to progress reports for each student. All examples and sentences can be printed out as practice, test, and take-home sheets. The school versions and above also come with freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters.
