Picture of CHALLENGER PEDIATRIC 1000 The Challenger Pediatric 1000 is a child's powered wheelchair designed for use by children with lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury. FRAME (HxLxW): 34 x 41 or 44.5 x 21.5 inches. Folding chrome-plated frame with anti-tipper. Folded dimensions (LxW) are 31 x 14 inches. CONTROLS: Integrated programmable controller. RWD: Rear wheel drive with a right angle gear motor. SEAT (LxW): 14 or 18 x 14 inches. The back height is 14.75 inches. Seat belt included. UPHOLSTERY: Black padded double embossed upholstery, ARMRESTS: Height-adjustable, detachable padded armrests. CASTERS: 8 x 2 inch cast aluminum caster wheels with air foam tires. WHEELS: 20 x 2 1/8-inch cast aluminum rear wheels with pneumatic tires with puncture resistant tubes. FOOTRESTS: Cam action swing away footrests or legrests with roller bumper or heel loop. The calf pads are padded. POWER: Uses two deep cycle U-1 batteries (not included) with a 5 amp external charger. SPEEDS: 5.2 miles per hour; range is 28 miles per charge. WEIGHT: 92 pounds.
