-------- PROTOTYPE --------- PURPOSE: To design a prototype of food preparation device for individuals with upper extremity disabilities or amputation or other conditions that limit them to use of only one arm or hand. The Enamor (an anagram of “one arm”) allows a person with use of only one arm the opportunity to expand his or her cooking skills by facilitating food preparation. Enamor is a simple and easily cleaned kit that consists of both vegetable and meat cutting units that attach tightly onto any countertop. The set for vegetables has been modified to make intricate slices and julienne cuts while the meat set uses sharp, gripping shears to cut through the toughest of meat and fat.
