  1. WHEELCHAIR CASTER GLIDES Picture of WHEELCHAIR CASTER GLIDES ---DO IT YOURSELF ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To protect walls and doors from damage from powered wheelchair casters. By mounting a disc of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMW) on the caster spindle where it meets the top of the fork, impacts are deflected. The UHMW disc prevents gouging and does not mar the woodwork. For additional protection from axle gouging, a deflector can be mounted on the axle ends. TITLE: Wheelchair Caster Glides.
