  1. SINK ACCESS STAIRS --- CUSTOM ADAPTATION --- PURPOSE: To enable a teenage girl with short stature to independently access a bathroom sink. A three-step ladder was made of stainless steel tubing. Bent into a D shape, the side rails of the ladder act as handrails for the user. Stair treads for the ladder were made of waterproof plywood coated with polyurethane and painted with non-slip tread deck paint. Crutch caps were fitted to the ends of the legs.
