(Verified 5/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Freedom Bath is an accessible whirlpool bathtub with a roll-down side that allows wheelchair to built-in seat transfers. The full-width side opening door can be manually or automatically lowered and stowed under the tub to provide safe and easy entry and exit. A sealing system provides a door seal that remains inflated until the bath has been completely drained. The bath will fit in any standard tub opening and is designed to both residential and institutional settings. A shampoo/bathing gel dispenser is built in to provide convenient and sanitary dispensing. Standard location is on the side of the tub, but the dispenser is also available for placement at the front-end. CONTROL CENTER: This houses low voltage electronic components that are continually monitored. Built-in indicator lights provide for facilitated serviceability. An automatic-charging battery system ensures safety and reliability. A control panel with digital touch pad is located inside the tub for easy use by the occupant. This panel operates the door sealing mechanism and the hydromassage system. HYDROMASSAGE SYSTEM: This system contains independently adjustable jets through the control panel pad. Motor speed is adjustable and the system features a 20-minute safety timer. SAFETY FEATURES: A contoured semi- reclining, standard-height seat is built in with lumbar support and an armrest and allows the user to be fully immersed in water. An assist handle is provided for added security while transferring or stepping in and out of the tub. A water level sensor maintains the door seal until the water is drained. A catch-basin will collect and drain any residual or excess water. Built-in leveling legs adjusts height of the tub and levels the bathing system at the time of installation. OPTIONS: Water-fill, showering, and temperature control systems available with flow rates from 13 to 27 gallons per minutes; upper- and lower-body positioning support systems to maintain the bather in an upright seated position; and a power-operated door mechanism. Accessories include a disinfectant system and a complete line of personal care and cleaning products for the dispenser. DIMENSIONS: 59.5 x 30 x 39.5 inches. WARRANTY: Manufacturer warrants to the original purchaser that the Freedom Bath is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase.
