(Verified 7/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- NaturallySpeaking Call Center Edition is a voice input program designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities who work in customer service and other telephone-centered occupations. This voice recognition system enables hands-free operation of personal computers and permits users to speak at their normal pace. Using the system, most aspect of the related data entry can be automated, including form completion, report dictation, and e-mail composition. Users can create, move, edit, and format text by voice command in most Windows applications, including word processors, spreadsheets, and more. The program's NaturalWord technology enables spoken text to appear immediately in a document. The included custom headset and switch adapter also enables the user to switch between telephone use and computer dictation with the touch of a button. Command Wizard allows the creation of macros to automate data entry. The program has a 230,000-word vocabulary, with a choice of 30,000-, 45,000-, or 55,000-word active vocabulary. The vocabulary includes spelling, pronunciation, punctuation, usage, and context recognition information. This program also allows up to 50,000 new words, specialized terms, and names to be automatically added in a few steps. The Vocabulary Builder searches text files, locates words used by the user, and enters spelling, pronunciation, and context recognition information. The program also enables the building of multiple topic vocabularies for specific projects and topics. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 75 megabytes (MB) of available hard disk space, Windows95 and 32 MB RAM with 30,000 active words or 40 MB with greater than 30,000 words or Windows NT 4.0 and 48 MB RAM, Sound Blaster 16 or compatible sound card, a CD-ROM drive, and a minimum 166MHz Pentium processor. An additional 40 MB Hard disk space is required to save recorded speech and an additional 15 MB is required to install text-to-speech capability.
