Mac OS X Command Sets for iListen, PlainTalk, and ViaVoice are software kits designed to enable users with upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury to control applications in the Mac OS X Jaguar operating system (see entry) through voice input. There are different sets for 13 specific applications and three voice input programs: iListen from MacSpeech, PlainTalk from Apple, and ViaVoice from IBM (see separate entries). Applications for which command sets are available include BBEdit, iCal, iMovie, iPhoto, iTunes, Mail, Word v.X, Excel v.X, PowerPoint v.X, Entourage, MSN Messenger v.X, iChat, and Safari. Bundles are available for Mac OS X, iLife, and MS Office X. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Power Mac G3, G4, G4 Cube; iMac; PowerBook G3, G4; iBook; or eMac computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Mac OS X Jaguar operating system.
