« Previous Product Next Product »--- DISCONTINUED (Verified 2/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE.--- The ChildFinder is a wireless signal transmitter and wandering patient system for parents and professionals working with children with disabilities. It is the only portable unit that can locate a child who has wandered off by as much as 1,000 feet, and its technology discourages RF interference from other electronic devices. The unit consists of a small, wireless transmitter which is attached to the child, and a receiver carried by a parent or guardian. The receiver has a built-in range control that allows the parent to set a maximum distance up to 1,000 feet between the child's transmitter and the parent's receiver. If the child moves out of that range, the receiver emits a series of warning signals and a colored graphic display indicates in what direction the child has gone. A panic alarm on the child's transmitter allows the child to press a button to signal the parent's receiver.
