« Previous Product Next Product »Everybody's Doing It! is a personal skills tutorial program, symbolic language pictures, and a visual symbol training program designed to teach people who communicate nonvocally or who have speech impairments about their health. This symbolic picture communication book provides 440 pages of full body action pictures to be customized by the user. This book targets 55 commonly used verbs in 527 action situations. Each action is depicted in at least three situations, giving the user multiple opportunities to generalize about his or her understanding and usage of each target verb. The pictures are adaptable to many different types of language activities including facilitating language in students with language delays, training and expanding communication board use, improving word retrieval skills, and retraining receptive and expressive language skills in people with traumatic brain injuries. The characters in the pictures are "bald" so the user can decide gender as well as hair style; the characters' mouths are left blank so the user can decide what expression is appropriate; and the character's and scenes of each picture may be colored as desired. A communication board is provided in the book to help some clients communicate how they want their character personalized. The board includes colors, descriptive words, feeling, and clothing items. An appendix with more than 200 one-inch verb symbols is also included.
