(Verified 3/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Language Activity Monitor (LAM) is a language development evaluation system designed to monitor the language activity of individuals with communication disabilities who use alternative and augmentative communication devices. LAM enables the collection and analysis of language samples and records content and a time code for each language event. Language samples can then be transferred to a computer and analyzed for text generation methods, communication rates, and other language parameters. A hardware version of the LAM is also available. This small, battery-powered device can be connected via interface cable to any alternative and augmentative communication device (AAC) with a serial port. WARRANTY: One-year manufacturer's warranty.
