Picture of EASYTALK (MODELS 8, 16, 24 & 32) EasyTalk, models 8, 16, 24 and 32, is a direct selection communicator designed for use by individuals with communication disabilities. This communication aid can record up to 56 minutes of digitized voice messages on eight recording levels. Users can access messages stored at any level using one or two switches. There are four scanning options: Row/Column, Linear, Vertical and Horizontal. Each key can record a message of any length, limited only by available memory. The touch panel can accommodate 4 by 10, 4 by 5, 2 by 5, 2 by 2, 1 by 2, and 1 by 1 overlays (key layouts). The touch panel's sensitivity can be adjusted to accommodate different motor needs. The device has an alarm that can call for help when any key is held five seconds longer than the hold time. Interfaces include a sound input port for external microphone; and a sound output port for external speaker; two switch input ports for standard external switches and joystick. The device comes with six color overlays, six blank overlays, and an instruction manual. OPTIONS: Versions with 8, 16, 24, or 32 minutes of standard play and up to 14, 28, 42, or 56 minutes of extended play; carrying case; keyguards. POWER: Uses rechargeable nickel cadmium battery. A battery charger is included. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 1.25 x 4 x 12 inches. WEIGHT: 2.2 pounds.
