The Take or Place N' Talk Series are direct selection communicators designed for use by children with communication and cognitive disabilities. These devices (each sold separately) reinforce learning through action. Each self-contained unit permits four five-second messages to be recorded; the individual messages are activated by removing an object of the user's choice from the corresponding light-sensitive compartment (photocells). Recessed compartments on the units can be used for placement of pictures, symbols, or objects (items cannot be clear or translucent). The Take or Place N' Talk, model 8705, plays a message when placing or removing items in compartments. Model 8702P is a Group Take or Place N' Talk. Model 8704P is a Lapboard Take or Place N' Talk. Model 8701P, the Classroom Take N' Talk, is a wall-mounted unit and includes Velcro attachment sites within each compartment and wall mounting hardware. All units include a list of suggested activities and a free Individual Educational Plan (IEP). POER: Each unit uses four double-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 15.5 x 19.5 x 2.5 inches.
