« Previous Product Next Product »The Amtel Trav-Alert System is a paging system that can be used by individuals with hearing disabilities. Message arrival is announced by either a beep or a silent vibration. The full text of the message is displayed on the small screen of the pocket pager. The Trav-Alert System is an accessory to the Amtel Direct-Line System (see separate entry) and cannot be used alone. In addition to the Trav-Alert System, a communications carrier (paging company) must be employed. The message is sent from the transmitting Amtel unit to the paging company, who in turn forwards the message via satellite anywhere in the country (depending upon area/s of coverage purchased from the carrier) to the pocket pager.
