« Previous ProductThe Voice / TDD Powerphone is a telecommunications device designed to work like a standard telephone/answering machine with the additional capability of recording both voice and TTY (teletypewriter) calls for persons with hearing disabilities. It features Yes/No indicators designed to enable the user to communicate over the phone by prompting the calling party to use "yes" or "no" answers (if the other party does not have TTD); this is executed by using the * (star) and ## (pound) displays. A 911 emergency dialer allows the user to call 911 through a pre-recorded message, instructing the operator that the caller has hearing disabilities. An additional feature included is a phone-in-use indicator light designed to display that the phone line is in use, and a phone answering indicator light engineered to blink when the phone is ringing or busy--it turns solid when the person answers the phone. Other standard features enable the user to place a handset into the TTY machine to play or record TTY messages; a 20 station autodial can store 20 numbers for quick dialing with a display/voice check to confirm the call; and a multifunctional digital LCD display that shows the dialed phone number, call timer, clock, and number of messages received along with confirming machine functions.
