Planet Wobble is an academic and pre-reading skills tutorial program designed for use by teachers and parents working with children who have developmental, cognitive or learning disabilities. It is designed to work with Clicker (see separate entry) and allows children to build confidence, develop independent reading, and maximize comprehension and writing skills. The program is divided into three levels and presented both in printed format and as on-screen interactive books. Each level comes with six different books. Each book is accompanied by a range of Clicker activities: matching, sentence, word, question, writing, and book making activities. Level 1 books have eight pages each: an introductory page, a concluding page, and a page dedicated to each of the Wobble children. Book titles include At Wobble Beach, At Wobble Park, At Wobble Pool, At Wobble Hospital, At Wobble Market, and At Wobble School. Each book at Level 2 has 12 pages and there is a book dedicated to each of the Wobble children. Titles are Dan’s Journey, Ella’s Bedroom, Stan’s Wait, Amber’s Busy Day, Holly’s Surprise, and Josh’s New Boots. Each Level 3 book has 16 pages and all the Wobble children appear in each story. Book titles in this level include Stuck, The Cake, The Race, The Movie, The Wobblit, and Treasure. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For IBM compatible computers, Windows XP, Vista, or 7 operating system; Clicker 5 or 6. For Macintosh computers, Mac OS X 10.5, 10.6, or 10.7; Clicker 5 or 6 (for 10.7 version).
