CINTEX4 is an environmental control unit designed for use by individuals with severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This system enables the user to dial and answer the phone, control infrared devices such as televisions, VCRs, DVD’s, stereos, CD players, etc., and control appliances such as lights, fans, etc. using voice commands or switch input (an input program such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional or a switch input program for keyboard emulation required, but not included). Users may choose telephone only, appliances only, or both. Telephone features include dialing calls, answering calls, call disconnecting, dialing from a directory, and
flash for call waiting redial and voice mail. All functions are hands free. The program automatically synchronize the operation of its phone amplifier with dialing and answering phone calls. Private-Talk is available for individuals wishing to use the same microphone/headset for computer voice input as for the phone. The
CINTEX4 Controller controls infrared equipment (TV, VCR, stereo, CD players, cable, satellite etc.) as well as controlling up to 255 X10 devices (lights, appliances, etc.). The controller has the capacity to learn 416 infrared commands (channel up, play, track up, etc.) in addition to the 255 X10 devices. This system is available as software only or as a package with a desktop personal computer or laptop. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible PC computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP, 500 kilobytes of memory, a serial port, and a modem for phone dialing.
