« Previous Product Next Product »The Newport Extra Wide is an heavy-duty adult manual wheelchair designed for use by large individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME: Heavy-duty, double cross-braced, high-lustre chrome-plated carbon steel folding frame with high stress areas utilized. All models are 12 inches wide when folded. Models 375 and 375X are 37 x 42 x 32 inches and models 375E and 375XE are 37 x 45.5 x 32 inches. Anti-tip and anti-folding devices are optional. SEAT (WxHxD): The seat on models 375 and 375E is 22 x 20 x 18 inches and on models 375X and 375XE it is 24 x 20 x 18 inches. The back height is 16.75 inches on all models. A headrest extension is optional. UPHOLSTERY: Tan padded, double-embossed, flame-retardant vinyl upholstery with a heavy-duty liner. ARMRESTS: Padded detachable, full- or desk-length armrests are standard. Swingback arms are optional. BRAKES: Adjustable toggle wheel locks. Wheel lock extensions are optional. CASTERS: Eight-inch molded front casters with pneumatic tires with airless inserts are standard. WHEELS: Molded 24-inch rear wheels with aluminum handrims and pneumatic tires with airless inserts are standard. Options include projection handrims, an amputee adaptor, and one-arm drive. FOOTRESTS: Models 375 and 375X have detachable, swingaway footrests with aluminum footrests. Models 375E and 375XE have elevating footrests. Padded calf pads are standard on all models. Heel loops and leg straps are optional on all models. OPTIONS: Oxygen tank holder, I.V. rod attachment, tray, seatbelt, and anti-theft lock. WEIGHT: Models 375 and 375E weigh 50 pounds without the front rigging and models 375X and 375XE weigh 52 pounds without front rigging.
