The Economy 8555, Economy Lightweight is a manual folding wheelchair. The 8555 is designed for home, rental and institutional use. The hardened steel frame has a double crossbrace construction. The seat and back dimensions are: overall 24.5 w x 36.25 h x 36 7/8 l, seat width 16.25, seat from floor height 20.25, back from seat height 15.5, and seat depth 15.75 inches. The embossed upholstery has textilene inner lining, royal blue being the standard color. Extra long toggle brakes, "Uni-Mold" Mag Composite 24 inch wheels, composite handrims with finger grips, 5 inch casters, full length fixed armrest with a low arm height are standards of the Economy 8555. Additional standard features include a three position adjustable, fixed footrest. The wheelchair weights 36 pounds. Special accessories are available.
