Picture of 1-SWITCH SINGLE APPLIANCE CONTINUOUS CONTROL UNIT (MODEL 1490) The 1-Switch Single-Appliance Continuous Control Unit, model 1490, is a switch control interface unit designed for use by individuals with upper exremity or severe physical disabilities. This remote control unit operates most AC appliances from a distance of up to 20 feet when the appliances are plugged into a receiver. A capability switch (not included) is used to activate the remote transmitter through either latch or momentary activation. With latch activation, the appliance runs until the user turns it off by activating the switch again. In the momentary mode, the appliance is activated only when a switch is pressed and shuts off when the switch is released. POWER: Uses 2 double-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 2 x 7 x 4 inches.
