The Dakim BrainFitness System is a computer with touch screen that comes with a cognitive skills and memory improvement tutorial program designed to enhance or maintain memory and other cognitive functions in seniors, people with cognitive, neurological or memory disabilities or individuals with brain injury. The system consists of a touch screen computer (with no keyboard or mouse), a pair of stereo headphones, and the Dakim BrainFitness Software (see separate entry), which is preloaded onto the computer. The software provides a structured system of exercises designed to help the user stimulate six essential cognitive domains: short-term memory, long-term memory, language, computation, visuospatial orientation and critical thinking. The Dakim BrainFitness Software offers over 100 different exercise formats across multiple levels of challenge and includes more than 300 hours of vivid graphics, music, humor, movie clips, stories, and trivia.
