The software program turns a personal computer into a reading machine by "reading" scanned documents back to the user. The system, which includes Microsoft Windows 3.1, supports most speech snythesizers (including DECtalk PC, Accent, Audapter, Braille'n Speak, Sounding Board, Keynote Gold synthesizers and Dolphin Multilingual synthesizers); and Braille displays (Alva, Baum, Papenmeier, TSI, Teiman and EHG). Step-by-step instructions are available either on audio tape, large print, diskette, or Braille. COMPATIBILITY: For use on any IBM PC/AT or 100 percent compatible 386, 486 or Pentium. MS-DOS Version 5.0, 6.0, 6.1 or 6.2X. Previous versions are not recommended. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 20 MHz is required. Video Display Adapter should be EGA minimum. Will not work with Monochrome or CGA display adapters. 450 KB conventional memory free for installation. 8 MB RAM recommended, with 6 MB or more allocated as free extended memory. Hard disk should have 10 MB of free memroy. Keyboard should be 101 key enhanced style only. OPTIONS: Language options include English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch and others.
