Dr. Peet's Picture / Writer is an academic tutorial program designed to develop early sight words, encourage simple sentence writing, promote hand/eye computer skills and nurture creativity for children who are developmentally disabled. This program joins writing and reading naturally. It guides first writers in creating simple sentences about things that are interesting to them. They simply click the mouse on pictures of people, clothes, vehicles, food, toys and music. The pictures turn into talking words, placed properly in simple sentences. Pictures and words can be printed. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh LC or II computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Color monitor; 2 MB RAM (4 MB recommended); System 7 preferred. Optional: TouchWindow (see separate entry) and ImageWriter II with color ribbon (for color printouts of pictures and words).
