RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Free-standing Shaker-style Desk is an adjustable height table or desk for wheelchair users and others interested in a workstation that can also be used as a stand-up desk or podium. The height is adjusted hydraulically by means of a hand-crank mechanism that folds away when not in use. Little strength or manual dexterity is required to adjust the work surface from 29 to 41 inches. The work surface can be customized to the consumer's needs. MATERIALS: The desk is manufactured from a variety of Appalachian hardwoods, butcher block, or edge-banded laminate. The hydraulics are housed in burnished aluminum. A motorized option is available. CAPACITY: The work surface will hold up to 400 pounds. FINISH: Customized. DIMENSIONS: 60 x 24 inches. WEIGHT: 70 to 100 pounds.
