The Easy On Sock Aid is a sock aid designed to assist individuals who have difficulty bending to put on socks. The Easy On Sock Aid consists of a U-shaped half cylinder mounted at an angle on a flat base. The base has a hook mounted on the top near the rear to facilitate positioning using the Easy Off Sock Aid (see separate entry) or a reacher or other grasping aid. The user places the Easy On Sock Aid on the lap or between the thighs, places the toe of the sock in the middle of the half cylinder pointing down, and rolls the upper portion of the sock down on the outside of the half cylinder so that it is inside out down to the foot and open. The user then places the Sock Aid on the floor, inserts the foot into the sock, and slides the heel down along the half cylinder to complete putting on the sock.
