Picture of SYNERGEL DIMENSIONS PAD The Synergel Dimensions Pad is a gel flotation seat pad and decubitis pad designed for use by wheelchair users to prevent pressure sores. The pads can improve comfort while protecting boney prominences and preventing or reducing shear, impact, vibration and harmful pressure related problems. The pad is made of of a silicone polymer with the same physical characteristics as human fat tissue. Its cellular structure allows air to circulate between cells to minimize heat and moisture build up. The polymer is a solid and does not flow or leak if cut or punctured. It does not dry out over time. This cushion returns to and maintain its shape for many years and does not bottom out. Its softness (durometer) is unchanged at any temperature. The polymer is odorless and hypoallergenic and does not contain latex or isocynates. It can be gently submerged completely in water for cleaning. The air mesh covers are breathable, temperature regulating and washable. The cover is zippered to allow removal for washing. DIMENSIONS (WxD): 14 x 14 inches; 16 x 16 inches; 18 x 18 inches.
