The Seca Chair Scale, model 954, is a digital chair scale designed for use by children or adults with balance or lower extremity disabilities, and others who need to sit, including small children who are unable to stand, while being weighed. Small children who are not able to stand can be weighed while sitting. It has a circular steel tube frame, fold-up armrests and footrests and an ergonomically shaped seat. Two casters in the rear and two fixed wheels in front allow the unit to be moved by an attendant using a push bar located behind the top of the back rest. There are brakes for the rear casters to hold the chair in place. This mobile electronic chair scale has an integrated RS232 interface for transmission of data to a computer or printer. The LCD display and controls are located between the push bar and the top of the back rest. Weight is measured in either pounds or kilograms, in increments of 0.1 pound below 330 pounds and 0.2 pound above 330 pounds. Other functions include HOLD that lets medical personnel take care of the user first and read out the results later; BMI measurement; automatic switch-off; and TARE, which allows every newly added weight to be ascertained separately. POWER: Uses AC adaptor or rechargeable batteries, both of which are included. A pouch for storing the power adapter is also included and can be attached to the frame. DIMENSIONS: 22.2 x 35.7 x 38.2 inches. CAPACITY: 440 pounds. WEIGHT: 54 pounds. WARRANTY: Two year warranty excluding movable parts.
