The Adapt-A-Grip System is a grasping aid for the hand designed for use by individuals with spinal cord injury or grasping disabilities. This system enables individuals with limited or no hand function to independently use and switch between such items as eating utensils, brushes, cups, electric razors, toothbrushes, phones, and others. Objects are attached to adaptors with zip ties or Velcro straps (both included). Once objects are attached, they can be loaded into the accessory holder which secures to most table and counter tops. A holder, slid into a utensil holder or cuff, can pick up an object attached to an adaptor simply by locking it together. The holder and the adaptor are held together by two powerful magnets. To release an object, position the adaptor over a slot in the accessory holder and pull down. The accessory holder can be rotated for access to multiple devices. The adapters and holders are made of polypropylene with corrosion-resistant nickel magnets. The system includes one holder, three adapters, one carousel accessory holder, four Velcro straps, and 10 zip ties (components are also available individually).
Notes: This product is Latex free. ** The manufacturer states this product can be used with most utensil holders and universal cuffs.
