--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---- TRB Bicycles are leg propelled cycles designed for children and adults with lower extremity disabilities. These bicycles feature a transbar system which connects the pedals and enables riders to use a smooth up-and-down pumping or stepping motion to pedal the bike, a motion closely resembling the body's natural walking pattern. This system eliminates the need to use a conventional 360-degree circular pedaling motion, reducing stress on the hip, knee, ankle, and lower back. The bikes resemble conventional bikes, are equipped with foot loops to assist in keeping the feet on the pedals, and are available in four models: The Cross Bike, model TRB 1000, for use in a variety of settings; the Mountain Bike, model TRB 1200; the Beach Cruiser, model TRB 500; and the Kids Trainer, model TRB 400, which offers a choice of six different pedal motions. COLOR: Red, green, or blue.
