It is best suited for small group applications with room size of 10 by 12 feet. System includes; Pocketalker Amplifier, PKT B5 ($ 89 separately); Porta-loop with 50 foot cable, INC 004; Plug Mount Mic, MIC 014; TV listening Kit with 12 foot extension cable, WCA 007 WC, Disposable alkaline battery, BAT 006 & Manual. Used with hearing aid equipped with "T" switch. The Pocketalker microphone and amplifier are used to electrically drive the wire cable creating a magnetic field around the cable. The magnetic field is detected by magnetic induction and amplified by a hearing aid equipped with a telephone coil (T- switch). There are rugged connectors that are quick and easy to use, and handy cable spool for easy transport and storage. In a large room, the cable may only encircle the room once, in smaller rooms, the cable should be looped around the room two or three times. For best results, use all of the cable and loop the room as many times as possible. Other accessories; universal extension cord can be used to extend the Porta-Loop adapter cord if longer cord is desired; lapel microphone, MIC 017 LC ($45) can be used in place of the plug mount microphone to allow more flexibility in microphone location.
