Picture of SPECIAL GUITAR PICK --- DO IT YOURSELF ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To enable an individual with weakness of the hands to use a guitar pick. The Special Pick was constructed of moldable splint material. The pick of choice is attached first to the "L" shaped form of the holder. The whole form is then heated in near boiling water and, when pliable, wrapped tightly around the thumb and forefinger. Held in this position the hand is run unter cold water until the plastic sets. The end result is a pick firmly held in the correct position without requiring finger pressure. A strip of soft felt can be bonded to the inside of the grips for added comfort. The Web site includes a diagram of the device. WEB SITE: Workshop Solutions at http://www.workshopsolutions.com/COMPLETE/pick.htm. REF: The originator, Tom Jeary, can be contacted at tlj@golden.net.
