------- "DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY ------- PURPOSE: Pick is recommended for persons with stiff finger joints or those with hypotonic hand muscles. Pick is adapted from a standard bowling thumb protector by inserting elastic for sizing and a wrist strap for support. Any commercial plastic pick can be glued to the leather thumb protector. Strumming accomplished by flexion or extension movements of the fingers or a rake grasp movement in abduction or adduction by the shoulder girdle. Includes drawing. SKILLS REQUIRED: Assembly.
