(Verified 1/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Power Grip is a grasping aid for hand designed to assist individuals with limited hand strength with a variety of activities of daily living. This vise-like gripper concentrates the power of the hand in the slip-resistant jaws. This device can be used to grasp objects ranging from paper thin to those up to 3.25 inches wide. Uses include opening screw tops on bottles, opening child-proof caps, turning keys, removing the backs of pierced earrings, and picking up pins. This lightweight unit can be carried in a purse or pocket and can also be used as a dressing aid. An integral pull ring also provides added assistance for pulling electrical plugs or weeds.
