The SureHands Wheelchair-to-Water Pool Lift is a pool lift designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This motorized pool lift enables the user to transfer directly from a wheelchair to the water. The lifting motor raises the user from the wheelchair on a boom arm. A caregiver or personal assistant then rotates the arm manually until the user is over the water, then presses a button to cause the motor to lower the user into the pool. The boom arm is flexible with a 360-degree swivel range. The lift is mobile on its four wheels, and can be removed when not in use to store or recharge the batteries. The lift is installed by centering it over a socket at the edge of the swimming pool, then pressing a button to cause the bottom of the mast to insert itself into the socket. Continuing to press the button causes the boom arm to be raised to the desired height. This mobile lift is made of lightweight stainless steel and is equipped with an emergency stop that allows quick interruption of every movement of the boom arm. Wheel brakes make the lift immobile when in storage. POWER: Uses battery power.
Notes: The manufacturer states that, because this lift operates on batteries and utilizes a pneumatic "air tube" hand control, it is safe to use around water.
