(Verified 11/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Astro Balls and Astro Poi are an eye hand coordination activity designed for use with children with vision or cognitive disabilities. Theses colored balls emit a bright, soothing glow which encourages locating, visual tracking, and reaching and participating in exercises, activities, and games. The Astro Poi is similar to the Astro Ball but is attached to a color-coordinated cord, enabling the balls to be suspended, expanding the possible range of activities and enabling children with limited upper extremity abilities to move the ball with gross motor movements. Also available are the Flashing Astro Ball and the Flashing Astro Poi to enable children with severe visual impairments to more easily track them. POWER: All models use a nine-volt replaceable battery. COLOR: The flashing models are available in red only; the other models are available in red, yellow, blue, green, and orange.
